Paris s'éveille.

Hi!

Went with a whole bunch of lovely people to Paris for the weekend to celebrate one of my best friends birthday. Clichés may be clichés but Paris is one of the most romantic cities in Europe. The food is nice, the buildings are impressive and the distance is ideal; 3 hours from Belgium.
Our hotel was near the city hall of Paris and Centre Pompidou, which is defenitly worth a visit when you like modern art. A little further is Ile de la Cité with the eyecatcher the Notre Dame.
The next day we went to Montmartre which is one of my favorite parts of Paris. This area reminds me of the late 19 century when Toulouse Lautrec was painting posters of the Moulin Rouge and drinking Absinthe. Also we visited Galleries Lafayette and the avenues that still representing the grandeur of Paris. The last day we went for a walk at the Seine, the Louvre and the Champs Elysees.
